General Warm Up

This warm up is a compilation of techniques that I enjoy and find useful in getting Qi, lymph, and blood flowing.

Patting:

  • down the inside of one arm and up the outside
  • chest (sigh), soften shoulders
  • down the inside of the other arm and up the outside
  • chest (sigh)
  • down the body and then the outside of the legs and up the inside, twice.
  • up the body to the liver and spleen
  • kidneys in the back
  • chest (sigh)
  • sweep, exhale and flick away the tension

Tapping (Based on Emotional Freedom Technique):

  • side of the hand (karate chop point), both sides
  • top of the head (sigh)
  • inside of eyebrows
  • outside of eyes
  • under the eyes (below the pupils)
  • under the nose
  • under the lips
  • collar bone area
  • up and down one side of the torso, then the other side
  • down the outside of the legs and up the inside
  • up the body to the chest (sigh)

Shoulder Rolls:

  • slide the shoulder blades up, scrunch the back of the neck, imagine that scrunching goes over the top of the head, roll the shoulders forward and relax them down while allowing the face to relax. Repeat a few times. (Bruce Frantzis – https://www.energyearts.com/ )
  • opposite direction. Shoulders up, back, slide the shoulder blades (bony chicken wing things in the back) into your back pockets. Repeat a few times.
  • slide the shoulder blades up, squeeze them together, tuck the chin, tilt the head, and look up to the corner.
